My experience in the country of Morocco

My experience in the country of Morocco

Continue summer i went along to the Kingdom of Morocco mole for a GEO 495 summer in foreign lands class. In Morocco I studied a culture, politics, economics, and geographical areas of the nation. Morocco can be a dynamic nation with rich elites, and weak destitutes. In some of the key cities along the Atlantic ocean such as Rabat, and Casablanca, there is certainly enormous wealth. But, in other parties of the united states such as the south-east, near the Sahara desert, there is overwelming poverty. In some parts of the country houses tend to be falling into the mountainsides. One of the more important things to remember during Morocco is that there's two main races of people any Berbers and the Arabs. Both backgrounds have impacted the nation, but the Arabs are in domination over the politics plus economics and with that they will influence the customs. Almost everything is in Arabic, but there is a heavy-handed France element to the usa as well. For fifty years Morocco was a Protectorate involving France and wherever you go the menu is going to be within Arabic and German.
As I traveled the country I noticed any overwelming elements of poverty. Almost everwhere you go, you will see beggers plus poor people. In the United States you can find homeless, but all of our homeless are happier than these people. They have no access to meal or toliets and often take garbage and excret within the streets.
As I traveled the nation I left for many medinas (old metropolitan areas) the most notable was Fes. Fes is often a remarkable city. The full city is walled off, with ancient rooms dating from the primary millenia. In that metropolis you can find anything you want, for that price. There are early jewish goldsmiths, and contemporary niki shoe stores. Morocco mole is a land with dynamics. Poverty along with Rich, Ancient as well as Modern, Western in addition to Eastern culture.
A worst experience I needed in Morocco has been with the food. The culture promotes inexperienced mint tea (morrocan open fire whiskey/no alcohol) and chicken tajine. While I liked the actual tea, the chicken tajine was horrendous. Everywhere you go, it's the same thing chicken breast tajine. When I was sticking with a family in Fes, bless his or her hearts (they are comfortable and good folks) they served chicken tajine. I got very tired off this meals and was sick for the remainder of the visit (bowel sickness!) total, I know.
Overall I seriously liked the people of Morocco and think it is a great country. An excellent opportunity it to anyone that wants to experience Heart Eastern culture with out going to the warzones in the Middle Distance. These people are very progressive and are not religious radicals, as you might find in destinations like Palestine or Syria. The dominion of Morocco must have been a great experience, in addition to the bowel sickness, and i also had a great time generally there.
